Idea Outline
StrokeCare is an app for tablets and mobile phones created to help families with a member that has suffered a stroke.

The Challenge
Our main goal is, using the technology, to diminish the troubles and asociated cost for the people suffering a stroke. Above all, those generated by the need of transportation and those cause by adapting to the new condition of the patient (refurbishing, buy of orthopedic products...)

The Solution

In order to do that, we have developped a mobile app that allows families to intervene in the adaptation and rehabilitation process. The following sections can be found in the app:
1. Exercises and video tutorials of phisiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.
2. Call conferences with health proffesionals
3. Geolocation of related bussinesses and ngo´s.
4. Helpfundings to allow families and friend to provide finnancial support.
5. Online shop of orthopedic products, both first and second hand.

Target group and social impact
Stroke is an epidemy that has become the first cause of disability in Europe. Nowadays, there are more than 2.700.000 people that live with brain damage. As a matter of fact, a person has a stroke in our country every six seconds. The average costs of the care are 22.000 €/per year according to a study of the University of Navarra.




Competences of the applicant
Our personal motivation is based on personal experience of a relative with stroke. We slowly learned to face this condition and as a result StrokeCare was born. Professionally, we are an entrepreneur team with more than 30 years of experience all together in marketing online and technology leading companies such as Indra, Havas or Deloitte. Our knowledge includes Law, Bussiness marketing and IT.
